Yall I gotta get better!!

Okay, okay, okayyyyyyyyyy!!! So I’ve been slipping. I haven’t written a blog in 3 weeks. That’s the longest I’ve ever gone without sending yall links!!! But I kinda haven’t felt one way or the other about this process lately. I guess it’s because I do what I have to and keep on doing  it.

BUT, I have kept the party going. I have been at the gym (although in the past week I’ve been sick — kinda still am) and I have been keeping up with my points at the Weight Watchers. Haven’t been to a meeting though because I’m on scale strike (I wrote that 9 or 10 blogs ago).

I do have some questions. To those who read this and have fitness  goals what have you been doing? have you exercised by going to the gym? running? walking? Having “relations”? Did yall know that having sex can actually equal to more calories burned than power walking around your neighborhood… but that’s if both partners are putting in their fair share of work in the process.  So ladies don’t be messing around with those dudes that need “male enhancements” and can’t hang and fellas don’t get yourself one of those “I got a headache”  chicks cuz working out won’t mean damn this way. You’re better off lifting weights! 

It’s always great to keep up with your eating habits. Weight Watchers promotes keeping a journal of what you eat and this way you can track your progress on how well (or not so well) you are coming along. I keep up with my progress online.

So this blog isn’t really motivating or educational (except for the sex part) and I promise I’ll have something for you next Tuesday. Till then, have a happy and healthy week. Smooches

The “Taste of Cheating”

Hi folks,

So between June 27th through July 6th I’ve spend my time in Chicago and Washington, DC. And in those days I ate everything (and I mean EVERYTHANG) that didn’t get a chance to eat me first. I mean the Taste of Chicago was GREAT! I ate Harold’s Chicken (a chicago favorite), polish sausages, Eli’s cheesecake, Chicago deep dish pizza, then I managed to get some REAL White Castle (can you believe New Yorkers put ketchup on those hamburgers? Can somebody say ”hamburger blasphemy?” Sheesh. And  on top of THAT I had moments of McDonalds and Matt’s Peanut butter and chocolate chip Cookies! Then when I went to DC, I went to a cookout and had kettle chips, sausages, cookies, and more junk. And in BOTH cities I had mojitos and amaretto sours. (oh and for those of you in  the Washington, DC/Maryland/Virginia areas if you haven’t checked out the National Harbor yet, get’cha behinds on  over there and ask for this cat name Edward at the 2nd floor level bar. Dude makes the BEST mango mojitos )

So basically I don’t have any words of encouragement this week. It is what it is. I ate the hell out of some food and admittedly I’m too scared to  get on scale or wrap some tape around my body masquerading as measurement taking. But I will say  to those who are on this journey with me to keep fighting the good fight. Remember a couple of blogs ago I mentioned taking measurments? well I’m still taking them. But I’m going to have to skip out on this month. I’ll wait till August! It’s just like trying to kick a habit. If you fall off the horse you have to get back on. No shame in falling. The shame is staying down. Get back up and try again. And as for me, this week is all about getting back on my grind. Yall do the same. Till next time. Smooches
