Well I’ve had this idea given to me by some really intelligent folks that told me to get up off my tail and start writing this blog. And as I pondered and bullcrapped for about a month, I’ve decided to finally do it. Got some assistance on how I should set it up and here I am. The good news about writing blogs is that it doesn’t have to be in any certain style or agreeable symmetry. So I am getting ready to start showing you a journey that I’m on. I’ve dedicated these blogs to my “sista”. African-American and Latina who are looking for motivation to improve overall physical health.
Here it is. Some days I’ll write and it may be funny, thought provoking, sad, uninspired, crazy or whatever my emotions are on each day. The one thing I KNOW about me is that I am definitely REAL. I keeps it real. And the best way for me to inspire and uplift during this journey of mine is to share with you what’s really going on with me.
At the beginning of this blog, you have all seen a picture of me. That is my “beginning” picture. That photo was taken in July 2006 when I was not working out and eating like I forgot I had a weight problem. I AM LOSING WEIGHT! Now this is something I’ve ALWAYS wanted to do since I started believing in the power of CABBAGE VS. CHEESEBURGERS!! I will discuss some simple strategies on how to lose weight, EXERCISE and be healthy. So let’s get moving.
At the bottom of this blog will be another photo. This is not my “after” photo but it’s a photo of progress. I’ve lost 32 pounds since November 1, 2006 and the party is still going. While I’ve lost a 5 year old child, I still need to get rid of a 17 year old heroin addict let me tell it!
I’ll write just about every day if not every other day. So sista and brothas I’m here to inspire and I consider this ministry (yeah I know……..believe it or not
).
Please enjoy this walk with me. Smooches
Yeah Tiffany! Girl I have been waiting for this!!! Keep those pounds coming off and share your stories. I am inspired and I too have a few pounds to lose. So I’m hoping to get some hints from you. But is is okay that I Afro or Latino?

I think its fab that you’re doing something to change your future! Heart disease kills “us” (blacks, afro americans, coloreds) more than any other race. It’s time for black women to truly look at themselves realisticly and distinguish fat from fabulous. Its not cute to be out of breath. I haven’t seen an obese 80 year old person yet…

Tiffy,
I’m so very proud of you. I have a respect for people who can write so honestly. Writing and sharing one’s heart is very exposing and often times challenging. I too am on a mission where weight loss and, more importantly, a healthy lifestyle is concerned. Love ya’,later.

Tiff, as always I support you 100% in every endeavor. I believe that this will be a successful blog because you know how to give it straight, no chaser and sometimes that’s what people need to hear in order to inspire a change in their lives. I am excited for you and wish you the best of luck as you continue to shed those pounds. If you get discouraged, here’s a word of advice and the motto I live by: “Tough times don’t last. Tough people do”. Love ya!
